The Nightwatch S3X is a motorised pan-and-tilt platform you steer by remote. Mount a compatible spotlight, thermal imager, compact camera, action camera or similar lightweight device on top, and change where it points without getting out and moving it by hand.

The Nightwatch S3X moves the equipment. It does not light, film, record, detect heat or zoom — those functions belong to whatever you mount on it.

The Nightwatch S3X does not detect, identify, track or record anything on its own. Real-world wireless range varies with obstacles, interference, weather, how it is installed and what is around it.

What fits on it

Equipment using a standard M8 mounting interface, up to a 1 kg / 2.2 lb mounted load: LED spotlights, thermal imagers, compact cameras, action cameras and similar light equipment.

Whether a specific device fits depends on its dimensions, weight, centre of gravity, mounting hardware and position, connector, voltage and power draw. Check compatibility before you order.

Mounting

Magnetic — for clean, flat, ferromagnetic steel. Holding strength depends on the thickness, shape, coating, cleanliness and condition of the surface. Not intended for aluminium, plastic, fibreglass, non-magnetic stainless, strongly curved surfaces, or uneven, damaged or dirty surfaces. Always confirm the base is fully seated before use. Use it parked, and take the system off before you drive or whenever vibration, impact, terrain or weather could exceed what the mount will hold.

Quick-Mount — for dedicated or more permanent installations. Use correctly rated hardware and check the installation regularly for looseness, wear, deformation or damage.

Power

Runs from a 12 V or 24 V DC supply. Do not connect it to household AC mains. For stationary AC use, fit a properly rated and certified AC-to-DC supply matching the published DC input. An AC-to-DC supply is not included unless the configuration says so.

Outdoor use

Built for normal outdoor field use. Avoid submersion, sustained heavy rain, severe weather, saltwater and long periods in extreme damp. After wet, muddy or dusty use, inspect and clean the mount, connections, cables and moving parts.

Important use & safety

Before every use, confirm the S3X is securely mounted, the equipment on it is properly secured, the total mounted load is within 1 kg / 2.2 lb, power connections match the required voltage and polarity, and cables are clear of moving parts, hot surfaces and sharp edges. Do not operate the platform in any way that interferes with vehicle control, visibility or the safety of people nearby. Follow all applicable vehicle, lighting, hunting, road-use and electrical laws.

Processing: in-stock orders are normally processed within 3–5 business days. Orders placed on a weekend or public holiday start processing the next business day.

Delivery: the shipping options, cost and estimated delivery window for your address are shown at checkout before you pay. You get a tracking link by email when your order ships — allow up to 48 hours for the first scan.

Returns: 30 days from delivery to change your mind, if the item comes back in like-new, resellable condition with its accessories and packaging. No restocking fee. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of the return arriving.

Faulty or damaged: email us with your order number and photos or video. Every item carries a 1-year limited warranty, and nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

• Use it parked. Take it off before you drive, and never operate it in a way that affects vehicle control or visibility.
• Before every use, check the base is fully seated, the equipment on top is secured, and the total load is 1 kg / 2.2 lb or less.
• Magnetic base: clean, flat, ferromagnetic steel only. Not for aluminium, fibreglass, plastic, non-magnetic stainless, curved, dirty or damaged surfaces. Wipe the surface and the feet first to protect your paint.
• Wire it to a 12 V or 24 V DC supply with the correct polarity, suitable wire gauge and an inline fuse. Never connect it to household AC mains.
• Route cables clear of moving parts, hot surfaces and sharp edges.
• Rain-resistant, not waterproof. No submersion, heavy or sustained rain, pressure washing or saltwater. Dry it and check the connectors after it gets wet.
• Never aim a mounted light at people, other vehicles, roads or aircraft.
• Follow the vehicle, lighting, spotlighting, hunting and land-access laws where you use it. Use on private land with permission.
